Dress Code

 

Essential Movement

Any color leotard or tights. Skirts, sparkles, ruffles, and tutus are welcomed for our little dancers. Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes, with no ties are required. Hair should be in ponytail or bun. Bows are also allowed.

 

Tiny Tots

Any color leotard or tights. Skirts, sparkles, ruffles, and tutus are welcomed for our little dancers. Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes are required along with black tap shoes. Hair should be in ponytail or bun. Bows are also allowed.

 

Mommy and Me

Mommies and little ones should both wear clothing that allows freedom of movement. No specific footwear is required for this class, as this class is done barefoot.

 

Ballet

All classes, ages 5 and up will start to dress in accordance with the discipline that accompanies ballet. Black leotard and pink footed or convertible tights must be worn in order to participate. Footless tights are not acceptable. Hair must be pulled back in a neat ballet bun at all times and secured with hair pins. A hair net is suggested. No bun makers or sock buns may be used. No bows or accessories. Dancers must have pink leather or canvas ballet shoes. Split-sole or full sole are both acceptable. Pointe

Black leotard and pink tights must be worn in order to participate. Hair must be pulled back in a neat ballet bun at all times. No bows or accessories. Pointe shoes are required for this class.

 

Jazz

Any color leotard is required for this class.  Tights, leggings, or shorts are also acceptable over leotard. Dress code update: Tights do not need to be worn with spandex shorts. Tan slip on jazz shoes are required for all jazz classes. Hair must be pulled back in bun or ponytail.

 

Jazz Funk

Loose fitting clothing is allowed for jazz funk. No street clothes (ex jeans, everyday clothing). Leotard and tights are not required for this class, however no midriffs can show when arms are placed at full extension. Tennis shoes with non-marking soles should be worn at all times. Shoes worn for this class should only be worn for class and not outside as this tracks dirt and rocks into studio. If the instructor feels that the shoes are not appropriate, a student may be asked to take them off. Hair must be pulled back in bun or ponytail.

 

Tap

Any color leotard is required for this class.  Tights, leggings, or shorts are also acceptable over leotard. Dress code update: Tights do not need to be worn with spandex shorts. You may also wear a loose fitting athletic shirt on top of leotard if so desired. Tan lace up tap shoes are required for this class. Hair must be pulled back in bun or ponytail.

 

Lyrical

Any color leotard is required for this class.  Tights, leggings, or shorts are also acceptable over leotard. Dress code update: Tights do not need to be worn with spandex shorts.  Bare claws/paws or bare feet will be the only shoes allowed for lyrical class. Hair must be pulled back in bun or ponytail.

 

Contemporary

Any color leotard is required for this class.  Tights, leggings, or shorts are also acceptable over leotard. Dress code update: Tights do not need to be worn with spandex shorts.  Bare claws/paws or bare feet will be the only shoes allowed for lyrical class. Hair must be pulled back in bun or ponytail.

 

Hip Hop

Acro

A leotard must be worn however, any color is allowed for this class. You may wear any color spandex shorts on top of your leotard. This class is done completely barefoot. Hair must be pulled back in a bun. A ponytail is not suggested, for safety purposes.

 

Cheer Class

Strength and Stretch

Form fitted athletic wear that allows freedom of movement can be worn for this class. Non-marking soles should be worn at all times. Shoes worn for this class should only be worn for class and not outside as this tracks dirt into studio.
