Maddy Knutson (Contemporary/ Jazz Instructor)

Madison began her training in Southern California at seven years old, and danced competitively in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, pointe and ballet until the age of eighteen. After high school, she moved to Arizona to continue her studies at Grand Canyon University where she is pursuing a major in Secondary English Education and a minor in Dance Education. Since then, Madison has performed in four faculty shows with Ethington Dance Ensemble and three student choreography shows- one in which her solo was selected to perform at the Herberger Arts Festival. Among other conservatories, Madison has trained with renowned programs such as Orange County High School of the Arts, American Ballet Theatre, Bowen-Hayes School of the Arts and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In addition, she has taught dance for three years in the areas of tap, jazz, technique, and contemporary. She is excited to spread her love for dance to her students and hopes that they will be challenged technically and artistically.
