(Jazz and Lyrical Instructor)
Isiah Johnson, dancer and choreographer, began his training in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 13. He in the styles of ballet, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, jazz funk, and modern. Isiah is currently a junior at Grand Canyon University, studying to receive his B.F.A in Dance with a minor in Business Management. While continuing his training, Isiah has received scholarships to intensives such as the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop as well as the Gus Giordano College/Pro Intensive. He also danced with Rogue Dance Theatre in their production of And Then There Were None as a member of the chorus and an understudy for the Butler. He has trained with choreographers such as Oscar Hernandez, Stacey Tookey, Will Adams, Nejla Yatkin, Jess Hendricks, and Christy Mcneil Chand. Isiah started choreographing very early in his dance career and has continued since. He is proficient in the styles of Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, and Jazz Funk. Isiah works with many local high schools and studios as a guest choreographer and part time teacher. He is lookign forward to sharing his passion for dance with his students at Diamond Dance Works.
