Important Class Information
How our levels work...
We offer Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 for most classes. Level 1 is a beginner level, level 2 is intermediate, level 3 is advanced, and level 4 is advanced/competitive. If you have any questions about levels, please contact us directly. You call 623-582-9858 or email us at DiamondDanceWorks@gmail.com
- Students wanting to enroll in any lyrical class must also be enrolled in ballet
- Students wanting to enroll in any contemporary class must also be enrolled in ballet or jazz
- Students wanting to take pre-pointe/pointe must be enrolled in a ballet class twice a week and have teacher approval. If you are absent in your normal ballet class, you cannot participate in pre-pointe/pointe that week.
- All Level 2, 3, 4 classes require a placement exam for enrollment.
Placement Exams: Dance is an individual art form and students need to be allowed the time necessary to achieve skills at a pace that’s comfortable for them. No two students will progress at the same rate, even if they experience the exact same training. It’s important to us to encourage students to work hard, set goals, and be satisfied with their individual accomplishments regardless of the length of time it takes to achieve their goals.
