Erin Stilwell
Erin Stilwell is a passionate dance educator, choreographer, and coach with more than 25 years of dance, teaching and coaching experience. She began her dance training at the age of two and has dedicated her life to inspiring dancers to grow in both skill and confidence while fostering a lifelong love of dance.
Her training includes ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, jazz funk, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, pom, musical theatre, and conditioning, allowing her to provide well-rounded instruction while emphasizing proper technique, artistry, musicality, and injury prevention. Erin is also Barre Above® Certified, incorporating strength, flexibility, and body awareness into her classes to help dancers perform at their highest potential.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and her Master of Education in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. Her educational background, combined with decades of dance instruction, enables her to create classes that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and focused on helping every dancer succeed.
As a student, Erin was a member of her high school pom program for six years, including four years on the Varsity Pom Team. She also competed on a nationally ranked exhibition stunt team, experiences that instilled the discipline, teamwork, athleticism, and performance quality she continues to pass on to her students today.
Erin's love for the performing arts extends beyond dance. Growing up in her hometown of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, she performed in community theatre productions including The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, and Standing Room Only, and portrayed the Mechanical Soldier in The Nutcracker. These experiences helped shape her appreciation for storytelling, stage presence, and the joy of live performance.
Throughout her career, Erin has served as a studio instructor, competitive coach, and school dance educator. She has coached varsity pom and cheer programs, choreographed routines for competitions, game-day performances, musicals, showcases, and special events, and mentored dancers and athletes from their very first class through advanced performance opportunities. She currently teaches middle school dance and art while directing middle school and high school pom and cheer teams, where she is committed to developing strong technique, leadership, teamwork, and confidence both on and off the floor.
Erin believes every dancer deserves to feel seen, challenged, and encouraged. Her classes combine technical excellence with creativity in a positive, uplifting environment where students are empowered to take risks, celebrate growth, and discover their unique artistic voice. She strives to instill discipline, perseverance, sportsmanship, and a genuine appreciation for the art of dance while helping each dancer reach their individual potential.
Outside the studio, Erin is an educator, author, and lifelong learner who enjoys writing, creating, staying active, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their Goldendoodle, Winston. She is excited to join the Diamond Dance family and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of dancers through excellence, encouragement, and a passion for the performing arts.
