General Dress Rehearsal Policies

Only 1 parent and the dancer are allowed into the auditorium at dress rehearsal. As a reminder, dress rehearsal is NOT a show. It is time to rehearse on stage with lights and sound. Therefore, only 1 parent/guardian is permitted into the auditorium. Parents will not be able to accompany dancers to the stage. We will take dancers to the stage to run through their dance, and then when they are done with their routines, parents are free to take them home. We do not run through the finale at dress rehearsal.

Please be on time. If you are late, we are unable to wait, and your dancer may miss their opportunity to perform with their class. Please remember there is no photography or video for any show. Anyone videotaping the show will be removed without a refund. As part of your $25 media fee, all parents will receive a digital download of both the show, and action performance pictures. The shows are being professionally filmed, and action photos will be taken at dress rehearsal.

Recital Check In Process

Recital Participation Forms are due from every student in order to be able to participate in the show. The two names that are given to the studio prior to the show date will be the only two names that can pick up, or check in a student. Every dancer must be signed in and out. Dancers in the junior and senior classes may sign themselves out if prior approval was granted by a parent, and we have the signature of that parent on file. Here is a printable copy of our Participation Form. Signed forms are due April 1st.

Recital Check Out Process

Recital Pick up: You may check out your dancer from backstage once they are done dancing. Dancers do not have to wait until after the finale to be picked up. However, only the names listed on the check out form will be allowed to pick up their child. Your dancer will NOT be permitted to enter the auditorium once you have picked them up. Which means they cannot watch the show unless they have a ticket. No parent/guardian is allowed inside the dressing room, we will retrieve your dancer from backstage on your behalf. Once your child is picked up, they cannot be checked back in. This means they will not be participating in the finale. Please make sure your dancer has already performed all of their routines before you pickup. As always, your child’s safety is our first priority, this policy is to ensure we can take the time necessary to make sure dancers go home with their parents or guardians listed.

Ticket Information:

Ticket sales begin Monday, April 15th at 10:00AM. Ticket sales are online only, and cannot be purchased at the studio. Every seat in the venue is a great seat. At this time there is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase, however due to the large number of students participating in the show, if we notice that the quantity of tickets starts to become to low, we may implement a cap in order to make sure all parents are able to recieve tickets. Ticket prices vary from $18-$30 each and any child 2 years old or older needs a ticket whether or not they will be sitting on a lap. Tickets have a small transaction fee of $1 per ticket. In some cases the ticket fee may be charged after the purchase of tickets due to high traffic to the website. If there are any tickets left over, they will be sold at the box office, however all shows are projected to sell out. The show is not being live streamed. The Seating Chart is available here. Section 1, 2 and 3 are closest to the stage. To view a 2 minute video on how to purchase tickets, click here.

Multiple Shows

If you have siblings or an individual dancer performing in multiple shows, you have the unique opportunity of seeing a variety of ages and styles perform. You would need to purchase tickets to each show, or you also have the choice to volunteer at one, and watch another with a ticket from the auditorium. No complimentary tickets are given. If you have two dancers in two different shows, and would like them to watch their siblings show, they must have a ticket to enter. If you volunteer as a class mom, you get to watch your dancer perform from side stage.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed for backstage class moms, as well as to hand out programs moms or dads. We need at least one classroom mom for every class. There is a mandatory volunteer meeting Saturday, May 18th at 10:00 AM at the dance studio for all first time volunteers. Please login to the parent portal to sign up for volunteering between March 4th- April 6th. It is a such a great experience to see the back side of the show, and to see the joy and excitement on the kids’ faces. Moms can volunteer anywhere, dads can volunteer as ushers only. If you have a dancer who is not fully potty trained, you are required to volunteer backstage as a class mom.

Volunteers can watch their child perform from side stage. Volunteers are not able to go into the auditorium during the show or at intermission.

Accessory List

An accessory list is available online in the parent portal under costumes. You can access this through our app or website. It is labeled under every costume in the parent portal, and includes what accessory is in their bag if any, and how it should be worn, the tight color, and style, and shoes needed. It will also be given out at costume distribution day on March 2nd in the bottom of your dancers’ garment bag.
